Celebrating Easter in Claremore

There are many Easter events taking place in and around Claremore starting tonight.  The events taking place tonight are known as Maundy or Holy Thursday.

What is Maunday Thursday?

Maundy Thursday is observed the Thursday before Easter and commemorates the last supper Jesus shared with the Apostles.

6:00 P.M. – First United Methodist Church

7:00 P. M. – Redeemer Lutheran Church

What is Good Friday?

Good Friday is observed the Friday before Easter Sunday.  This is the day Christians remember the intense suffering Jesus Christ, the Lord experienced from the Garden of Gethsemane to His death on the cross.

April 22nd – Good Friday Services

6:30 P. M.  – Claremore First Baptist Church

7:00 P. M. – First United Methodist Church and Redeemer Lutheran Church

What is Easter?

Easter Sunday is a glorious day for the Christian.  It is the celebration of the resurrection or triumphant victory over death of Jesus Christ.  Jesus arose from the grave three days after his death on the cross.  By his death, burial and resurrection, Jesus paid the penalty for all sin allowing those who believe in Him to receive eternal life.

April 24th – Easter Sunday Services

There are too many local churches to list individually.  The following link provides  names, phone numbers and address of all the churches in the Claremore and Rogers County area.  Here is a link that will direct you to the websites of many local churches.
